Ernesto FonsecaErnesto Fonseca is CEO of Hacienda CDC in Portland, Oregon. Ernesto has worked in affordable housing development for many years, with his own brand of community development to truly address the health of local communities. He is proud to be an inaugural fellow in Raza Development Fund’s J. Tommy Espinoza Fellowship.

Javier EspinozaJavier Espinoza grew up with affordable housing development all around him. The son of Tommy Espinoza, local housing champion, Javier understood from an early age the importance of housing and community, watching his entire family join the cause. His experience has been in financial institutions, public engagement, and real estate.

Susan Halverson FonsecaSusan's work is grounded in the belief that members of a community should shape the future of that community. She has led a range of community work, including research and evaluation, program/policy development, collaborating with partner organizations, and community organizing. Her current research focuses on low-income residents' experiences in mixed-income housing.
